I explain here all process step by step. You have to follow these all step carefully don’t skip any step.

Step I – 

 In this step you need to revert your blog custom domain name to name. If your blog address is now its look

Log into your blogger account >> setting >> basic >> blog address [click ‘x’ to redirect your blog custom domain to] See below image how to do

If you don’t have custom domain skip this step.

Step II –

Now open you web hosting cPanel. after purchase your hosting provider will give you two name servers and log in address. Collect those two name server and update it with your domain hosting name server. In same process if you purchase any new domain change  their name server with hostgator name server . Step III –

Hostgator Quick install

Open your web hosting cPanel. Click one Quick install >> blog Software >> WordPress [almost every web hosting company offer one click installation process] Choose your blog domain name, then add username and password and then click install. It will take less than 5 min to install. After installation they will give you a unique log in address and log in details. Your unique log in address will look like –

Step IV –

Now using your log in address log into your word press blog. First change your word press blog permalink structure. Because blogger permalink and wordpress permalink completely different. That’s why before import your all blog post change your word press blog permalink structure.
Go settings >> Permalinks >> Custom structure (paste below code in that box and save)


Now fix your blog permalinks. After moving your blog URL will look like-

Both url are not same it clearly generate 404 error. So before import all blog posts fix it manually.

Open notepad paste below code and save it as permalinkfix.php

Now in new tab open your web hosting provider cPanel, open file manager. Upload this file  into public_html directory.

Take a new browser open your blog link like this example –
You will see a message- permalinkfixed ! You have Done.

Step V-
Now import your all blog posts from blogger to word press.

In wordpress Go tools >> Import >> Blogger >>Install Blog importer >> Authorize

This process will ask you for permission to access your blogger account; Click on access button. If you have more than one blog, choose that blog which you want to import. This import process will take less than 1 min (Process depending on size of your blog). This import process import your all posts, labels, comments and authors but it can’t import your blog pages. You have to do it manually.

Now you successfully migrate your blog form blogger to word press without losing page rank and traffic.

Some Other Changes to Do – 

  • Change your word press blog feed burner feed with your blogger feed burner feed. Your new blog feed burner feed will look like –
  • Remove blogger blog from search engine. This is very important step otherwise in search engine show same content on two blog pointing two different domain which is really bad. Open blogger >>setting >> basics>>Privacy [Choose NO for both option].
